BETH ISRAEL LAHEY HEALTH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care delivery. Under supervision, you will provide direct patient care, assist with clinical operations, and aid care coordination to ensure smooth daily workflow.

The role emphasizes safe, high-quality care, teamwork with nurses and providers, and adherence to policies while supporting patients and families across various clinics.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant program or has obtained a Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA).
• Certification required upon hire and maintained if not a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.

Responsabilidades

• Greets, identifies, transports and/or escorts patients to exam room and documents data in EHR.
• Prepares patient for examination: records chief complaint, symptoms and duration; reviews medication list and allergies.
• Performs phlebotomy tasks and basic in-clinic testing (vital signs, urine tests, rapid strep, etc.).
• Assists provider with patient visits, prepares equipment, and provides patient education as directed.
