Job summary

Austin Health Partners in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support pediatric and family medicine practices. This full-time, on-site role requires performing clinical and administrative tasks to help deliver patient care and keep office operations running smoothly.

Core duties include taking vitals, collecting specimens, documenting in EMR, handling calls, and assisting providers. You will also ensure compliance with infection control and participate in occasional after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CMA Certification and/or MA experience is required.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect basic patient intake and vitals.
• Perform point of care testing.
• Document all patient visits and communications in EMR.
• Performs capillary blood draws, newborn screens, dental varnish, and routine hearing and vision screens.
• Properly administer oral medication as directed by the provider.
• Answer back line phone calls as needed and accurately chart calls and follow through.
• Maintain clean work area and ensure adequate stock of medical supplies.
• Process incoming school/day care forms for the assigned provider.
