Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a clinical support professional to assist with patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. You will take vital signs, document information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow in a busy environment.

Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff, you will ensure patient comfort and address concerns while maintaining accurate records in the EHR and supporting general office operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred.
• BLS Certification and CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Answer phones, take dictation, and complete insurance forms; acts as a liaison with other departments and advocates for patients with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean and supplies stocked.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
