Job summary

Providence Seaside Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support licensed practitioners in delivering basic patient care and administrative duties. The role combines clinical and clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and safety in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has formal MA training or an apprenticeship, or relevant military medical training, plus BLS certification upon hire. This is a full-time, on-site position with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants or completion of a medical assistant apprenticeship.
• Two years of medical training in U.S. Armed Forces or at least 1 year as a medical assistant with clinical skills (vital signs, injections, medications).
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and administrative support under the delegation of a licensed practitioner.
• Perform duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist in delivering patient-focused care and support in a clinical setting.
