Job summary

Providence Seaside Hospital is hiring a Medical Assistant I to support licensed practitioners in providing basic patient care. The role blends administrative and clinical duties, following established policies and procedures.

The MA I will work at the Warrenton walk-in clinic with a float option to assist Warrenton primary care as needed. Qualified candidates have MA training from an accredited program, completion of a registered MA apprenticeship, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
• Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months).

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing basic patient care under the delegation of a licensed practitioner
• Perform duties to assist in delivering basic patient care through administrative and clinical tasks
• Work at the Warrenton walk-in clinic with a float option to help Warrenton primary care when needed
