The role encompasses data collection for assessments, lab specimen handling, and department duties such as POCT and scheduling, to ensure smooth patient flow and safe, coordinated care.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program is required.
• BLS certification is required; MA certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepares patients for examination and records vital signs; performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Administers medications as directed by Providers per policy.
• Collects data for assessment and discharge planning under supervision.
• Collects, processes, and submits lab specimens per procedure.
• Documents care accurately in EPIC and maintains timely records.
• Performs scheduling, check-in, and patient tracking duties as needed.
• Performs department-specific duties such as POCT, hearing/vision screenings.
• Maintains exam rooms, cleans and stocks supplies; supports team relationships.
