Summa Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for a Full-Time Days schedule in Akron, OH. This position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus and benefits.

The role supports patient-focused care within Summa Health Medical Group and requires medical terminology knowledge, EMR proficiency, and strong communication. Minimum one year of medical office experience or related education, with HIPAA confidentiality and willingness to travel between locations.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
One year related medical office experience; externship or related education accepted.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and EMR.
Excellent communication skills; able to work independently and within a team.
Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
Ability to travel between locations within the medical group.
SHMG employees: ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within six months of hire.
