Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• No experience required with a certification/registration as a Medical Assistant OR 1+ years of directly related Medical Assistant experience without certification/registration.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort per standards.
• Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN.
• MA II: administer injectables and advanced clinical tasks; requires experience or certification.
• MA III: high-level clinical procedures; serve as a resource for staff.
