Job Overview

Medical Assistant I provides supportive patient care functions under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Some duties may be delegated by physicians or RNs.

Medical Assistant II/III performs similar functions with additional responsibilities, including administration of injectables and high-level skills.

• Salary Range: $39,179 – $57,548 (based on experience and certifications)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Experience

MA I: Entry-level; no experience or 1 year of related experience without certification. Employees before Nov 24, 2024, will be grandfathered.

MA II: 5 years of related experience with certification or 6 years without.

MA III: 8 years with certification or 9 years without.

Skills & Certifications

Basic medical terminology, computer skills, and equipment use. BLS certification required (AHA). Additional modules for MA II may be required.
