Job summary

Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support the Thoracic Surgery HOPD team in Grosse Pointe. You will help manage patient flow, perform clinical tasks, and support physicians and staff to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full-time, daytime hours, with a standard 40-hour work week, located at the Medical Building in Grosse Pointe. Candidates should have MA training or equivalent experience and BLS certification, with a commitment to patient-centered

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program or 6 months experience as LPN/EMT/ER Tech/paramedic.
• Preferred nursing student in accredited program after clinical coursework.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
• BLS CPR certification within 30 days (AHA or ARC).

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow by assisting and promoting delivery of health care.
• Perform and oversee clinical activities within scope of practice.
• Support physicians, clinical staff, and management to improve office efficiency and patient satisfaction.
