Job summary

NeighborHealth in Boston seeks a Medical Assistant to provide supportive patient care in a fast-paced primary care setting. Working with a provider, you will manage patient flow, perform essential clinical tasks, and ensure tests and instruments are ready per protocol.

The ideal candidate holds a CMA program credential or equivalent, has HS diploma or GED, and brings strong customer service and bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and a graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program.
• One year of Medical Assisting experience strongly preferred.
• One year of Customer Service experience.
• Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Vital signs.
• Pulse oximetry.
• Use of O2 equipment.
• Obtaining EKG’s.
• Laboratory studies such as glucometer, urine dip stick urinalysis and others as requested.
• Cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization.
• Follows procedure for operation of autoclave and properly documents each load.
