Job summary

Vera Whole Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA) to join our Decatur clinic. In this full-time role, you will support providers with exams, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing while maintaining accurate charting in the EHR and HIPAA compliance.

You will manage patient intake, vitals, histories, and medications, coordinate referrals, and assist with front-office tasks in a fast-paced, patient‑focused environment. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA) and 2+ years of MA experience.
• Strong injections, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and EKG skills.
• Experience with EHR systems and accurate documentation.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented, and patient‑focused.
• Excellent communication and multitasking in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Take patient vitals, histories, medications, and allergies.
• Assist providers with exams, minor procedures, wound care, tests.
• Perform injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, specimen collection.
• Complete point-of-care testing and lab prep.
• Maintain infection control and clinic readiness.
• Support triage, care coordination, and patient follow‑up.
• Document in EHR per HIPAA/OSHA/CLIA.
• Schedule referrals and front‑office tasks as needed.
