Job summary

First Flight Health Centers in Miamisburg, OH invites a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join a mission-driven community health team. You will room patients, collect vital signs, assist with exams, and support providers in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program background or 3+ years of experience, CPR certification, and strong computer/communication skills. EMR experience is preferred and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong computer and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and updating medical histories.
• Assisting with procedures and exams.
• Performing injections, EKGs, venipuncture and lab testing.
• Documenting patient information in the EMR.
• Coordinating patient flow and supporting providers.
• Educating patients and supporting follow‑up care.
• Maintaining exam rooms, supplies and equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting providers and delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical histories

Assisting with procedures and exams

Performing clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing

Documenting patient information in the EMR

Coordinating patient flow and supporting providers

Educating patients and supporting follow‑up care

Maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and equipment

Additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience

CPR certification

Strong computer and communication skills

Preferred:

Medical Assistant certification

EMR experience

0–2 years of clinical experience

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
