UK King’s Daughters is seeking a compassionate clinician to provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient clinic. You will obtain histories, expedite flow, room patients, and assist with meds and prior authorizations.
You will navigate EHRs, schedule tests and follow-ups, and communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and providers while upholding service excellence and patient privacy.

Job Description: Job Summary Responsible for providing direct patient care and clinical support to providers in an outpatient clinic setting. Obtains patient medical histories, expedites patient flow, rooms patients, and stocks clinic with necessary supplies. Navigates electronic health record systems, schedules and follows up on appointments, and assists with medication requests, prior authorizations, and scheduling tests, procedures, and consults. Communicates respectfully with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients, and physicians while upholding service excellence standards. Supports both clinical and administrative functions to ensure efficient and patient care.
High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area
0–2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part‑time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Basic Life Support (BLS)
This position requires regular standing or walking with objects up to 10 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects over 50 pounds. Also involves occasional sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with intermittent repetitive motions; intermittent risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; intermittent risk of injuries from use of equipment; job-related travel; occasional exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, and hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste; intermittent exposure to cuts or punctures and bloodborne or airborne pathogens; and occasional interaction with combative or violent people.
