UK King's Daughters in Ashland, KY seeks a compassionate Clinical Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. You will obtain histories, assist with procedures, manage scheduling, and support both clinical and administrative work to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsible for providing direct patient care and clinical support to providers in an outpatient clinic setting. Obtains patient medical histories, expedites patient flow, rooms patients, and stocks clinic with necessary supplies. Navigates electronic health record systems, schedules and follows up on appointments, and assists with medication requests, prior authorizations, and scheduling tests, procedures, and consults. Communicates respectfully with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients, and physicians while upholding service excellence standards. Supports both clinical and administrative functions to ensure efficient and patient care.
High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area
0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
