Job summary

MyCHN in Houston is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our community-focused care team, delivering high-quality, coordinated care under the PCMH model.

As a vital member, you’ll take vitals, support providers, perform in-house testing, vaccines, and referrals, while educating patients to adhere to care plans. This is a full-time, on-site role in Greater Houston.

Qualifications

• Certification or diploma as Medical Assistant required.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vitals, patient history, and screenings.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform in-house testing (flu, strep, COVID, etc.).
• Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments.
• Coordinate referrals and prescription refills.
• Educate patients and support adherence to care plans.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized clinical spaces.
