Job summary

PRIMMED in Nevada seeks a Hybrid Medical Assistant to support both clinical care and clinic operations in a pain management setting. The role requires handling patient intake, rooming, vitals, injections, and front-office coordination with high accuracy and speed.

You will maintain compliant EMR charts, assist during procedures, and ensure HIPAA/OSHA standards are met, while delivering compassionate patient care across busy days.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification is required.
• Active BLS/CPR certification is required.
• IV placement training or certification is required.
• 2–3+ years Medical Assistant experience.
• 1–2+ years procedural or pain management experience preferred.
• Strong EMR experience and fast typing (40+ WPM).
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Bring patients into rooms and prepare them for visits.
• Take vitals, history, and reason for visit with accuracy and speed.
• Perform injections, UDS, and routine clinical testing.
• Maintain clean, compliant, and fully documented patient charts.
• Assist providers during examinations and urgent needs.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards are always followed.
• Prepare patients for procedures and complete structured intake.
• Start and manage IV access using sterile technique.
• Monitor patients during procedures and recovery.
• Work closely with physicians and anesthesiology teams in real time.
• Assist with discharge, IV removal, and patient instructions.
• Make pre-procedure reminder calls and post-procedure follow-ups.
• Help coordinate smooth patient transport and flow.
• Answer and document patient calls with accuracy and urgency.
• Process prescription refill requests per protocol.
• Support prior authorizations and appointment scheduling.
