Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for the Psychiatric Services inpatient unit. You will prepare patients for encounters, assist clinicians, and maintain patient-care areas, equipment, and supplies.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, MA program completion (preferred), 1-2 years MA experience, and basic medical terminology knowledge, with strong communication and clerical skills to support department operations.

Qualifikationen

• Schedule - Shift - Hours Full-time w/rotating wknds & holidays - Day shift - 7am-3:30pm mon-fri. weekend rotation, every other, possible in future. holiday rotation.

Under the direction and supervision of the provider and department leadership, the Medical Assistant is responsible for both clinical and administrative duties to prepare the patient for the encounter, assist the clinicians in the delivery of care, and maintain service areas, equipment, and supplies. This role is also responsible for some general clerical and scheduling duties in conjunction with department operations.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 1-2 Years Medical Assistant experience, preferably in physician practice or hospital outpatient services setting.
• 1 year of secretarial or administrative experience, including medical terminology.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
• Current nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification/Registered,
  (preferred) or

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Ability to report patient care observations, deviations from patient’s plan of care and other pertinent information under the direct supervision of a provider or licensed nursing staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
