Job summary

OptumCare in Reno is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for home visits and embedded clinic support. You will travel to patient's homes, mobile clinics, and partner offices, performing injections, phlebotomy, and diagnostic testing while delivering high-quality care.

The role requires hands-on clinical experience, solid decision-making in the field, and flexibility to work across varied environments. A strong commitment to community care is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or relevant experience.
• Current CPR and / or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation.

We're looking for an experienced and confident Medical Assistant Home Visits who thrives in independent, fast paced, and ever changing environments. This unique role allows you to bring care directly to patients across Reno-whether in within patients' homes, mobile clinic settings, or partnered provider offices.

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of back office activities to assist providers in conducting quality clinics, including administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys and various other procedures. Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains established quality control standards.

• $4,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid after 30 days!)

What You'll Do

• Work independently as the primary MA in a variety of environments
• Complete in home patient visits and embedded visits in partnered offices
• Travel throughout Northern Nevada to deliver compassionate, high-quality support wherever it's needed
• Adapt quickly to different workflows, settings, and patient needs
• Supporting our fully equipped mobile clinic, providing hands-on patient care as needed
• Represent our team with professionalism, flexibility, and a passion for community care

Who You Are

• An MA with solid hands on clinical experience
• Comfortable working solo and confident making decisions in the field
• Flexible, patient-centered, and energized by variety in your daily work
• Someone who enjoys travel, meeting people, and providing care in unique settings

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
