Job summary

Georgia Harm Reduction Coalition is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Connect to Care Clinic and Mobile Health Unit, performing office and clinical duties, collecting test samples, maintaining records, and explaining procedures.

You will assist with HIV, HCV, and STI testing, manage vitals, enter data into the EHR, ensure confidentiality, and coordinate follow-up care while complying with OSHA and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certification with phlebotomy experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HIV, HCV, STI testing.
• OSHA regulations compliance.
• Proficient with Google Drive and MS Office.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with marginalized communities.
• Maintains strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information and visits purpose.
• Provides HIV and HCV rapid testing.
• Performs STI testing and sample preparation.
• Draws blood and handles lab samples.
• Enters data into EHR and SPARS systems.
• Maintains patient records and confidentiality.
• Coordinates follow-up with patients.
• Assists with vital signs and basic examinations.
• manages inventory and clinic orders.
• Performs duties as assigned by Clinic Manager.
