Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System's Heart Institute in Eagle, ID, is hiring a Medical Assistant to support an Interventional Cardiologist at the Eagle Health Plaza and Nampa on-call weeks. You’ll perform EKGs, place heart monitors, educate patients, and assist with stress tests, under supervision, in a collaborative clinic environment.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, MA certification within 90 days from approved agencies, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification within 90 days of hire from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification required at hire.
• New MA graduates: externship hours or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and place heart monitors; educate patients on use and setup stress tests.
• Complete prior authorizations and patient calls; manage in-basket tasks.
• Collaborate with physician, nurse practitioner, and another MA.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and strong critical thinking skills.
