Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID, is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Advanced Heart Failure clinic. You will join a growing Heart Institute team and support surgeons, cardiologists, and APPs in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.

The role includes rooming, vitals, chart prep, taking patient history, reviewing medications, performing EKGs, and assisting with stress testing and billing; a team-focused, self-motivated candidate with MA certification and BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certificate of completion from an accredited program or approved externship/experience.
• MA certification within 90 days of hire from approved agencies.
• Current MA Certification or renewal within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• EMT and CNA certifications do not count toward MA certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Advanced Heart Failure clinic and occasionally cover other subspecialties.
• Perform rooming, vitals, chart prep, medical history, medication review, and EKGs.
• Proctor Cardiopulmonary stress testing with exercise physiologists.
• Assist with internal devices (cardiomems) billing.
• Complete prior authorizations for specialty medications and patient calls.
