Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the clinical team under provider supervision, assisting with patient exams, vital signs, and documentation in the EHR. You will support office coordination and follow established workflows to ensure efficient patient care.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent and a high school diploma, CPR certification, and related clearances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMAs or similar) preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of a provider.
• Prepare and room patients; record vital signs and health history.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR; support screenings.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain inventories, and assist with procedures.
• May act as a scribe with trained assistance.
