Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Connecticut is hiring Medical Assistants to support exam and triage in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will handle patient check-in, vital signs, specimen collection, room preparation, and assist providers with procedures, while delivering a compassionate, efficient patient experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.

Responsibilities

Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility.
Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
Coordinate referrals to specialists.
Take vital signs and prepare patients for examination.
Collect blood samples and prepare specimens for lab.
Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies.
Maintain patient records and scan charts.
