Grandview Medical Center – Birmingham, AL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under a medical provider’s supervision. You will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, and ensure efficient clinic operations with a patient-focused approach.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and 0-1 years of experience or externship. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and infection control is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.

Responsabilités

• Assists with non-invasive medical procedures and vital signs.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms before patient visits.
• Manages patient intake, including reporting test results and phone triage.
• Maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Pre-registers patients, schedules appointments, and coordinates referrals.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and clinic communications.
