Job Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant performs delegated duties under the supervision of the Office Manager and/or Physician. Responsibilities include assisting in examinations and treatments, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height), and recording information in patient charts or EMR. Additional duties may include triaging phone calls and scheduling appointments. The Medical Assistant interacts frequently with patients and should maintain a positive, welcoming attitude, projecting enthusiasm and professionalism at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (certificate preferred)
• CPR Certification
• Proficiency in PC/Windows
• Medical coding knowledge (preferred)
• Strong commitment to patient comfort and satisfaction
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well with physicians and staff
