Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Day Shift Medical Assistant (non-licensed) to support the care team and advance rehabilitative goals.
The role requires CMA/RMA certification, a Medical Assistant certificate, a high school diploma, and 2+ years of clinical experience. You will perform vitals, patient prep, charting, injections, and education in a fast-paced clinic.
Summary Under direction and supervision providers, the Medical Assistant, who is non-licensed, uses their clinical training as to provide direct patient care. This includes assisting with the rehabilitative goals of the patient, and supporting clinic nurses and providers as a part of the care team.
Required to stand, sit, talk, type, read and hear Required to use hands and arms to handle, feel, carry and work Required to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and rise from a kneeling position while performing patient care Required to be independently mobile, with frequent bending and reaching overhead for activities such as positioning and transferring of patients and equipment Must be able to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
