Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, documenting in the EMR, assisting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.

This role is a Monday–Friday position with no weekends or holidays, and will require travel between Bainbridge Township and Chardon offices.

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider
• Provides a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards, PHI training per UH rules.

A Brief Overview

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.

M-F No weekends, or holidays will travel between Bainbridge Township and Chardon office.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
