Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. You will room patients, record vitals, and document in the electronic medical record while assisting with procedures.

You will help manage patient flow and front desk tasks such as scheduling, collecting payor information, and verifying documentation. You will promote a safe, patient-centered environment and uphold PHI security.

A Brief Overview

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.

• Assist with front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs basic patient centered care as delegated by provider
• Provides a safe environment for patients
