A leading healthcare provider is seeking full-time Medical Assistants in Northampton, MA. This role involves supporting clinical staff, managing patient interactions, and ensuring high-quality care in a collaborative environment. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and relevant certifications to excel in this dynamic position, which emphasizes both independence and teamwork.
We are seeking full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistants to support the practice onsite, Monday through- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, with flexibility to start earlier at 7:30am if needed! As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.
Responsibilities include:
*Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
*Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
*Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
*Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
*Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in complex and busy environments.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations.
- Ability to take vital signs and manual blood pressure, as well as collect blood samples and other specimens.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
