Epiphany Business Services, Llc in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Medical Assistant for a Gap Year program to gain hands-on clinical experience alongside board-certified dermatologists. This role is ideal for recent graduates aiming for medical, PA, or NP school and who want to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced dermatology practice.

The Medical Assistant will support procedures, manage patient flow, and help maintain clinic operations while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree and awaiting acceptance to PA, NP, or medical school.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best patient experience - from warmly welcoming patients and prepping them for their visit to thoughtfully answering their care-related questions.
• Act as the right hand to the provider, supporting hands-on patient care by assisting during procedures, capturing detailed visit notes, fulfilling prescription orders, doing anything else needed to ensure the appointment is as smooth and complete as possible.
• Keep the clinic running smoothly by staying on top of managing supplies, maintaining equipment, understanding the flow of exam rooms, and finding fun, creative ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
• Be a reliable teammate by jumping in to help, keeping things organized, and contributing to a positive, supportive environment.

Qualifications/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree (and awaiting acceptance to PA, NP, or medical school).


• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction. We will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
