Job summary

Epiphany Dermatology in Mission Woods, KS invites graduates to join a Gap Year Program to gain hands-on clinical experience in a dermatology setting. You will work closely with board-certified dermatologists, supporting procedures, charting, and patient communication while developing essential skills for PA/NP or medical school.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and are pursuing a bachelor’s degree with plans to apply to PA, NP, or medical programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress; awaiting acceptance to PA/NP/medical school.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best patient experience—greeting patients, prepping for visits, and answering care-related questions.
• Assist during procedures, capture visit notes, fulfill prescription orders, and support the provider during patient care.
• Maintain clinic flow by managing supplies, equipment, exam room operations, and finding efficient workflows.
• Be a reliable teammate, stay organized, and contribute to a positive, supportive environment.
• Support ongoing operations and patient access in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

What You’ll Do

• Provide the best patient experience - from warmly welcoming patients and prepping them for their visit to thoughtfully answering their care-related questions.
• Act as the right hand to the provider, supporting hands‑on patient care by assisting during procedures, capturing detailed visit notes, fulfilling prescription orders, doing anything else needed to ensure the appointment is as smooth and complete as possible.
• Keep the clinic running smoothly by staying on top of managing supplies, maintaining equipment, understanding the flow of exam rooms, and finding fun, creative ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
• Be a reliable teammate by jumping in to help, keeping things organized, and contributing to a positive, supportive environment.

Qualifications/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree (and awaiting acceptance to PA, NP, or medical school).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction. We will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
