Job summary

Nuvance Health Mahopac Physician Practice is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant. The role involves clinical and clerical support across the Mahopac practice, including patient intake, vitals, specimen collection, and EMR documentation. A one-year MA background or related experience is required, with BLS certification due within 30 days.

Preference given to bilingual Spanish speakers. Travel between multiple Mahopac practices may be required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required, with MA experience or MA program graduate; or EMT certification; or 3 years healthcare office experience.
BLS certification due within 30 days.
Minimum 1 year of MA experience or related healthcare experience; travel between practices as needed.
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients; verify identity; perform intake and document information.
Transcribe/update patient data in EMR and medical records.
Provide clerical support and prepare patient charts.
Assist with orders reconciliation and EMR workflows.
Maintain clean, stocked examination areas and equipment.
Prepare patients for visits and assist with procedures as directed.
Collect specimens and coordinate outside testing as needed.
Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients.
