The Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical duties and some administrative functions under the direction of medical group providers. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examination, taking and recording vital signs, patient histories, and assisting with various procedures.
Requirements: Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients of different age groups. Shows sensitivity to patients, including effective telephone and verbal communication in emergency situations. Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills. Must pass all competencies related to Medical Assistant duties. Maintains current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care for patients from neonate to geriatric. Possesses excellent customer relations skills, avoiding conflicts and undue anxiety. Must have keyboard/computer skills. CPR certification is required within 90 days of employment.
Preferred but not required: Medical Assistant certification, Emergency Medical Technician certification, or current Certified Nursing Assistant.

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. The hourly rate ranges from $18.61 to $27.77. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay may vary within the range based on specialty, and shift differentials and overtime may apply if applicable.
