CareSpot is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures, and patient care across Florida. Responsibilities include triaging patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, immunizations, and preparing treatment rooms. The role requires MA-related certification/education and phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program
• Active RMA or CMA designation
• 6 months of MA experience in a relevant environment
• Licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification and 6 months’ verifiable phlebotomy experience
• 1 year of verifiable phlebotomy-focused experience preferred
• Healthcare setting experience (ED/urgent care/ambulatory) preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and assist with exams and procedures
• Measure vitals and record information on patient charts
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection and lab work completion
• Administer medications and immunizations under provider direction
• Set up procedures as instructed by provider
• Prepare treatment rooms and escort patients from waiting room to exam rooms
• Check in/out patients, verify insurance, and collect payments

POSITION SUMMARY

We are hiring a Medical Assistant to assist our providers with exams procedures and other processes to meet the specific needs of our patients including but not limited to

• Triaging patients
• measuring vitals and recording information on patients charts
• Blood draws venipuncture specimen collection and completion of lab work
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider
• Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and bringing patients from the waiting room to exam rooms
• Checking patients in and out; verifying insurance; collecting payments

What youll bring to the table

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant EMT Paramedic or other relevant program
• an active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation
• 6 months of experience in a relevant environment
• licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
• possess phlebotomy certification and 6 months of verifiable experience with Phlebotomy
• 1 year of verifiable experience in a role where phlebotomy is the primary function Wed also prefer if you have prior recent experience in a healthcare setting such as an emergency department urgent care or other ambulatory clinic

A few requirements

• Graduate of one of the following programs Medical Assistant Emergency Medical Technician EMT A only Paramedic Radiologic Technologist or another relevant program
• possesses active Registered Medical Assistant RMA or Certified Medical Assistant CMA designation
• High School or GED AND 6 months of MA experience in a relevant environment
• licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
