Job summary

CareSpot in Florida is seeking qualified Medical Assistants, EMTs, Paramedics, or CMA/RMA professionals to join our urgent care team. You will triage patients, take vitals, perform venipuncture, assist with labs and immunizations, and prepare examination rooms.

Eligible candidates include MA, EMT/Paramedic, RMA/CMA, or CNA with phlebotomy experience; prior urgent care or ED experience is preferred. Competitive pay, PTO, health benefits, 401k, and a supportive culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or other relevant program.
• OR active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation.
• OR 6 months of experience in a relevant healthcare environment.
• OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience.
• Experience in emergency department, urgent care, or ambulatory clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients.
• Measuring vitals and recording information on patient charts.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, and lab work completion.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms and guiding patients from waiting room to exam rooms.

What youll be doing

What youll bring to the table

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant EMT Paramedic or other relevant program
• OR an active Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant designation
• OR 6 months of experience in a relevant environment
• OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
• Wed also prefer if you have prior recent experience in a healthcare setting such as an emergency department urgent care or other ambulatory clinic

A few requirements

• Graduate of one of the following programs Medical Assistant Emergency Medical Technician EMT A only Paramedic Radiologic Technologist or another relevant program;
• OR possesses active Registered Medical Assistant RMA or Certified Medical Assistant CMA designation;
• OR High School or GED AND 6 months of MA experience in a relevant environment;
• OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience
• OR possess phlebotomy certification and 6 months of verifiable experience with Phlebotomy
• OR 1 year of verifiable experience in a role where phlebotomy is the primary functionCertification BLSAbility to pass a Level II background screening and clearance through AHCA Agency for Healthcare Administration httpsinfoflclearinghousecom
