Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Family Medicine team as a Medical Assistant! This position is benefit eligible, working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

• Full-time employees are eligible for medical / dental / vision, flexible spending, company-paid life insurance, and several voluntary benefit options, RTD EcoPass, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO), and six (6) paid holidays annually.
• Part-time employees are eligible for medical / dental / vision, company-paid life insurance, voluntary benefits, RTD EcoPass, 401(k), and holiday pay (if regularly scheduled to work on an observed holiday).
• Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering incoming calls, obtaining/verifying patient information, patient check-in/out, and coordinating appointments.
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, prepare charts, record medication dosages and allergies, and assist with medical examinations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with protocols, regulations, and policies.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available.
• Document all aspects of patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records.

Experience and Skills

• Good history-taking skills, strong computer skills, accurate documentation, and good organizational skills.
• Effective communication with patients, providers, and staff.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate self-direction.

Education Requirements:

• Completion of Medical Assistant education; certification preferred but not required.
• Other medical training with active certification and 1+ years of recent experience (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA).
• Military medical training with supporting documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences with relevant coursework; transcripts required.

Experience:

• Previous clinic experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Pay Range:

• $18.91 - $25.21/hour, commensurate with experience (full range up to $28.36).
