Job summary

Mercy Orthopedic Clinic is hiring a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinic staff in delivering patient care. The role involves performing patient care activities, ensuring compassionate communication with patients and families, and upholding Mercy's standards of care.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (MA program graduate preferred) and may have 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care or medical office experience preferred.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and office staff with patient care activities.
• Communicate with patients, families, visitors, and coworkers in a caring, professional manner.
• Perform duties as assigned and follow established nursing practice standards.

Assists the physician and office staff with performance of patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice. • Shift: Days, Full-Time (40 hour weeks)
• Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Experience Preferred : One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training
