Job summary

Mercy Clinic Springfield - Urology is seeking a dedicated nursing assistant to support physicians and clinic staff with patient care activities in a fast-paced urology clinic. The role emphasizes compassionate, professional interaction with patients and families.

The incumbent will contribute to daily operations, align with Mercy's care philosophy, and participate in MA Clinic Academy training if needed. High school completion is required; Medical Assistant program is preferred; prior patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience; MA Clinic Academy training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and office staff with patient care activities in accordance with nursing standards.
• Provide compassionate, professional communication with patients, families, and co-workers.
• Support daily clinic operations and perform related duties as assigned.

Overview

Assists the physician and office staff with performance of patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice.

The incumbent in this position shall carry out his or her responsibilities and integrate into his or her work ethic the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he or she has responsibility.

In communicating with patients, families, visitors and co-workers, a caring, friendly, personal and professional approach is expected.
