Job summary

Mercy Clinic Springfield - Urology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and office staff with patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The role emphasizes compassionate, professional patient interactions and adherence to Mercy's standards of care.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, MA program training, and a willingness to complete MA Clinic Academy training. Prior patient care or medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care or medical office experience preferred; MA Clinic Academy training required.

• Assist the physician and office staff with patient care activities.

Days

Overview:

Assists the physician and office staff with performance of patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice.

The incumbent in this position shall carry out his or her responsibilities and integrate into his or her work ethic the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he or she has responsibility.

In communicating with patients, families, visitors and co-workers, a caring, friendly, personal and professional approach is expected.
