Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant in Indianapolis, IN to support physicians with patient examinations and treatments. This contract-full-time role offers 40 hours per week and pay of $10 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, handling basic clerical tasks, and maintaining patient comfort under physician supervision. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant medical knowledge; certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Knowledge of clerical functions.
• Current CPR card (if applicable).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable).
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
• Relevant certification/licence if applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred

Current CPR card

Current PPD or Chest X-Ray

Current Health Certificate

Relevant certification/license if applicable

Tools

Good telephone communication
