Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our San Mateo office. The role requires delivering high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical support in a dermatology setting and prior healthcare experience is essential.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians with medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, managing patient flow, documenting treatments, and maintaining supply inventories. Open availability during weekdays and weekends is needed.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures.
• Manage patient flow and prep rooms before/after patients.
• Inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment.
• Attend in-house trainings and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our San Mateo Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule

Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in‑house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range

$22 - $27
