Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Salinas Office. The Medical Assistant performs top-quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a busy dermatology setting, with healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures, recording treatments and prescriptions, prepping rooms, managing supplies, and guiding patient flow.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and scheduling systems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open weekday and weekend availability.
• Full-time medical assistant in dermatology setting.

• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations and procedures.
• Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms before and after patients, ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Monitor inventory and stock supplies; alert when low.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary:

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Salinas Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule:

Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range:

$21 - $26
