Schweiger Dermatology Group in Riverdale, MD is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical support in a dermatology setting. Prior healthcare experience is required, with strong patient relations and desk-side coordination with providers.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, maintaining rooms, managing supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation within EMR and scheduling systems;

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability.
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking equipment at the beginning of each shift for proper functioning.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed.
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA/GM of low supplies.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary:

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Riverdale Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule:

Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant
