Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Riverdale, NJ is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Riverdale Office. The Medical Assistant will perform the highest quality clinical and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting, supporting physicians and staff.

Candidates should have healthcare experience; dermatology background preferred; EMR familiarity and strong communication are essential. This role offers a stable schedule Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm;

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience is preferred and healthcare background is required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience with EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s).
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Assist provider in recording treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within guidelines.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability.
• Prep rooms before and after patients and ensure equipment is in proper working order at start of shift.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed.
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA/GM of low supplies.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Riverdale Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule

Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range

$19-24
