Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Dr. Phillips and Leesburg offices. You will support physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures and maintain patient flow with accurate documentation and prep work.

A strong dermatology/healthcare background is essential. Applicants should be nationally certified or pursuing certification, with proficiency in EMR and scheduling systems, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations and procedures within guidelines.
• Prepare rooms before/after patients and check equipment daily.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment; alert Head MA/GM of low levels.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm.
