Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for its Newport Beach - Avocado Office. The MA will support physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures, manage patient flow, and handle clerical tasks to ensure top-quality care and patient satisfaction.

Requirements include dermatology experience, healthcare background, and EMR proficiency. The role demands strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility to cover weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relations and customer service skills.
• Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions and prior authorizations.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms before and after patients and check equipment each shift.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Daily scan retail and cosmetic products and alert of low supplies.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment.
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary:

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Newport Beach - Avocado Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required. Dermatology experience is required.

Schedule:

Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Hourly Pay Range:

$21 - $26
