Schweiger Dermatology Group in Leesburg seeks a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures. You will perform high-quality clinical and clerical tasks in a busy dermatology setting.

Requirements include dermatology and healthcare experience, EMR and scheduling familiarity, and excellent communication. Availability Monday through Friday with some weekend coverage is expected; benefits include medical, retirement, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience is required.
• Healthcare experience is required.
• EMR software and patient scheduling systems experience required.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, and procedures within guidelines.
• Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms and check equipment at start of each shift; ensure proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Inventory and stocking of supplies; alert when low.
• Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities.

Job Summary: Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Leesburg Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
