Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Mt Vernon is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. The Medical Assistant will support physicians during medical, cosmetic and laser procedures, manage patient flow, and perform clinical and clerical tasks in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience with dermatology exposure, CMA certification preferred, and proficiency in EMR and office software.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies and procedures.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms before and after patients and ensure equipment is functional.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Daily scan retail and cosmetic products and stock supplies; alert when low.
• Perform inventory and attend in-house training and education opportunities.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm.
