OAA Orthopaedic Specialists is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their clinical team in Allentown, PA. The role involves ensuring patient care excellence, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and relevant certifications.
Summary: As a member of our Clinical team, the Medical Assistant position is responsible for ensuring Patient Care Excellence by assisting in the delivery of health care management. The Medical Assistant actively participates and supports the clinical teams and providers. The Medical Assistant will behave in a professional manner and promote the core values of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists.
Essential Functions:
Qualifications:
• Minimum of one-year certificate from college or technical school and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
• Current CPR/AED Certification a plus.
• Required Certifications:
o Act 34 PA Criminal Background.
o Act 151 PA Child Abuse History.
o Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance.
• Strong computer experience, electronic medical records experience.
• Strong interpersonal/customer service skills.
• Previous medical office experience including surgical and office scheduling and patient education.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a positive team environment.
• Orthopaedic and/or surgical experience preferred.
